speaking as someone who has raised pigeons since before he was 10, pigeons are incredible parents. both parents play a huge role in the raising of their young, and for fostering as well. you can foster other birds in a nest with parents who had a bad egg or just birds with a nest bowl and they will raise it as their own. both the mom and dad are incredible parents.
