Yorkshire Terriers are trainable and intelligent dogs. Even during a short walk, you can teach them various tricks. First, you can teach the dog the sit command. The dog will sit by following the treat you hold above its head. Reward it when it sits. Then you can teach the dog the stay command. Ask him to sit, take a step back and say “stay”. Reward him when he sits and increase the distance continuously. Next, you can teach your dog to roll over. Hold the treat in front of the dog, turn it around and reward it when it turns. Finally, you can teach commands such as pawing or handshaking. Ask the dog to sit, close your hand and touch its paw. The dog will give its paw, so reward it. You can practice these skills during a quarantine walk.
